The themes are drawn from guidelines in National Association of Social Workers’ Indicators for the Achievement of the NASW Standards for Cultural Competence in Social Work Practice, key research and a public inquiry following the death of a Black and minority ethnic child. A reflective analysis follows which explores in depth the key issues relating to CCP and the book also provides suggestions on ways to improve CCP. The book is based on a research study undertaken by the author when studying for a Professional Doctorate in Social Work.
